6 Months Old

Sixth months Old - December 15, 2009
Parker's favorites, stats, and accomplishments!
(Stuff I would write in the baby book if I kept one!)

* Parker spends his time on the floor rolling all over the place. You can no longer leave the room and expect him to be there when you get back. The only thing that slows him down is getting stuck under the furniture.

* He likes to spend lots of time in his walker. He hasn't figured out how to move it on purpose yet, but he rolls backwards without even realizing what he's doing.

* We have pretty much retired his bouncy chair, swing, and soon his floor gym. He doesn't stay still long enough for any of these activities.

* He loves his highchair and the events that take place there. He eats solids twice a day with a menu of many vegetables and a few fruits thrown in. We are still being very careful as we introduce new things because his tummy issues are not really apparent right now, and we don't want that to change again. He also likes the Gerber puffs that melt in his mouth, but you have to have a fast hand in order to keep him happy!

* He loves his sister and she spends a lot of her day tending to him. Playing with him, talking in a very high pitch mommy voice to him, feeding him, and making sure he has everything he needs. He in return loves to laugh at the silly games she plays with him and loves to pull her long hair!

* He talks, yells, and I'm pretty sure I've heard mama come out of his mouth already :)

* He likes his nuk but doesn't rely on it to sleep.

* He is starting to pay more and more attention to Gunner. He watches him whenever he's in the room and doesn't even flinch when he is doused with slobbery kisses!

* His blond (sometimes with a reddish tint) is growing and his eyes remain blue. He has one tooth and one on the way (you can feel it right under the skin).

* I don't have his body stats because we don't visit the doctor until next week, but I'm sure he's still topping the charts in all areas!

* He can sit up on his own for very short periods of time, but is getting more stable every day.

* He follows a good routine at daycare and has nothing but smiles for Kim our daycare provider!

* He's a great napper and becoming a better night time sleeper every day.

* He makes us smile lots, keeps us on our toes, and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Happy Half Birthday Little Man!
