Seventh Month Update

Our little man turned seven months old last week, and mommy is starting to regret all time times she's said "lets just get through this newborn stage." Everyday I want to just slow him down, he's getting too big too fast :)

Here are some updates on "The Best Baby Ever," as Paige likes to call him.

* He has no time for laying down or even sitting for that matter, he likes to stand and grab everything on tables.
* He loves "big people food" and enjoys most things we have for dinner as a family. If you're eating something, he wants a taste. It's been working well to show Paige that Parker tries things when she won't. It's a great motivator because she's so competitive.
* He's slowing down in his formula consumption a) because he's eating more baby food and b) he doesn't stay still long enough to drink a bottle.
* It is impossible to hold and rock him...he is too squirmy for that. But mommy has been known to wait until he's sleeping and then steal a couple minutes of snuggle time :)
* He talks and babbles and thinks we understand him, or should I say he expects us to understand him.
* He likes his sippy cup.
* He shakes his head when you say "no no"
* He likes to have people in the room with him at all times, or he screams:) This makes nap/bed time a little tricky.
* Because he's so squirmy and hates to be alone, he needs his "cry it out" time. Unfortunately it takes 30 minutes sometimes for him to settle down. We always pray that we're not going to get visitors while we are letting him SCREAM in his room. Don't worry we watch from the camera upstairs.
* Along the same lines as above; he thinks his crib is a jail. He puts both arms on the rails pulls himself up to look through at the door and then screams :)
* He goes to bed around 7; I give him a bottle before we go to bed around 9-10 (he stays asleep), and then he sleeps until around 5. - We've come a long way in that department in the last month :)
* No matter how mad he is when he falls asleep he wakes up happy. I love that about him...so happy every time he opens his eyes.

Watch out world...it won't be long and he'll be mobile.
