Learn from your mistakes!

Purchase Date: April 6, 2007
Cost : $1,300
Warranty: 12 months, did not fork out the extra $14 or so for extended. Who needs that?
Date it quit working for no apparent reason: June 1, 2008 (Yes you can add correctly that's 14 months)
Time spent online with tech support before they told us we're screwed: 1 hour
Estimate to fix: $441 (Bad A- board????)
Time spent on the phone dicussing warranty: 2 1/2 hours
Sony's decision: They will cover parts and labor (YEAH)
Our loss: $12 for sales tax
Lesson learned: ALWAYS BUY THE EXTENDED WARRENTY!!!!!
