We have been waiting all school year to get on the "Tooth Chart" at kindergarten calendar time, and we finally became a part of history - ten days before becoming a 1st grader.
Paige lost the 18th tooth of her kindergarten class, after weeks of having a wiggly tooth :)
This particular morning she woke up and it was hanging by a thread, but she wasn't willing to let dad or I help her pull it. You can tell by the look on her face in this picture, that she was on the verge of tears just letting me take a picture of it.
Well.... fast forward three hours and a corn dog at lunch and we are officially missing a front tooth.
Grandma made us a "Tooth Pillow" and so that night under her pillow it went in hopes of a visit from the tooth-fairy!
And although the picture is bad - here is our toothless wonder one dollar and a fifty cent piece richer the next morning :)
Another reminder that my baby girl is growing up - such a bittersweet feeling for this mommy.
