Blessed or Cursed

We were super excited about the HUGE apple tree in the backyard of our rental house - that is until we realized how many apples actually grow from that tree.  It is honestly hard to show in pictures how HUGE this apple tree is, but trust me it is!

We spend about 20 minutes every couple days just picking up the apples that have fallen to the ground to throw in the garbage.  But one afternoon we spent some time picking some apples to actually start using.  We picked a large cooler full of apples and didn't even make a dent in one branch of this tree.

Grandma was nice enough to help us peel all of the apples and make us an apple crisp for supper that evening.  We froze four gallon bags of cut and sliced apples that day, and have no idea how we are going to use the mass quantities of apples still left in the tree.  Or how we are going to reach them for that matter.  I told Corey he's going to have to bring the big bucket truck from work one night so we can get to the ones so high in the air - not sure if thats proper use of company equipment but oh well :)

If you need apples come over and bring your buckets and ladders!  They are free to a good home :)
